Widgets
Widgets are small scripts that put different items in the sidebar of your site. All flexible height themes have one sidebar widget area enabled in addition to the included sidebar options.
Header
With ANA Fantasy, ANA Lace, ANA Satin, and ANA Velvet, utilize the Basic Design Site Options page to upload your modification of the included header or even upload your own image to the header section of your site in one step. As an alternative, enter your site title and tag line for text display.
Sidebar:
Each ANA Designs Flexible Height WordPress Theme is designed with a main content area for your text, photo gallery, etc and a sidebar to the right of it. Choose to display as many or as few sidebar items as you want! Here are the options available for your site’s sidebar:

Plugins:
Don’t want to use the sidebar options included with your Theme? Try Plugins instead!
Plugins are scripts that you install and activate from within your WP administration panel. Utilizing Plugins can enhance site appearance, functionality, and uniqueness. There are thousands of Plugins available for a multitude of tasks, both for your sidebar and for the rest of your site. Plugin use makes managing your site a wee bit more complicated but it’s not difficult. It only takes a little time to learn!
Here are a few Plugins ANA Designs recommends:
- Share and Follow – For easy connection to social networking sites
- Photos – Next Gen Widget displays a random image from your gallery, a set of photos, or slide show
- Events Calendar – Display your schedule on every page of your site
- Text Widget – Add a text field area to the sidebar of your site
- Display Widgets – Allows you to display each of these widgets only on pages you specify
- For active bloggers – WP default Widgets to show your post archives, recent posts, categories, recent comments, and post tags
A note about Plugins:
All of the Plugins ANA Designs recommends are provided free to the WordPress community. Authors of these Plugins always appreciate donations for their work. If you like a Plugin, donate a few dollars when you get a chance! ANA Designs makes donations to recommended Plugins periodically on behalf of ANA clients and the company itself. It’s good karma to give back!
