Domain Redirects and Forwarders
|
There are several different purposes and uses for adding domain redirects: Using website redirects, you can forward one domain to another. For example, you own example.com example.net example.info, etc. Using redirects, you can easily forward all those domain extensions to your main .com domain. When someone types in example.net into their browser, they will be automatically directed to your primary selected domain. You can also make a specific web page redirect to another page on your site and display the contents of that page. This is a useful way to make a page with a long URL accessible by a page which has a shorter and easier to remember URL. This is also helpful if you've changed page names for pages that have already been indexed by search engines or for link exchange partners that you are unable to contact to notify of your new page name. In order to set up a redirect, click on the "Redirects" icon. Follow the simple instructions and your redirect will be executed in one step! |
