More Theme Downloads
In response to high demand, all former ANA non-blog Themes are now capable of handling blog functions and are available for download!
These are fixed-height Themes with custom scrollbars. When using a fixed-height layout, you exchange a little functionality for style. Since these Themes are assigned a certain dimension in the browser, the space for menu items is limited. There’s no room in these designs for widgets, so there are no widget areas enabled in these Themes. If you’re not big on blogging that’s no big deal. If you are, another post will follow this one detailing how to display blog posts on your site.
A new addition to all fixed-heght Themes is a mailing list page template. This functional form allows you to collect email addresses for a mailing list or newsletter. In order to make a mailing list page, first create a new page. Enter a name for the page in the space provided and in the large text area, enter any text you want to display at the top of your form. Then in the Page Attributes box on the right side of the screen, under Template, select Mailing List from the drop down menu. Click on Save and you’re done. Now all you have to do is add your Mailing List page to your menu. Mailing list form submissions are sent to the primary site administrator’s email address as defined on the WP Admin General Settings page.
One of the great features of all ANA fixed-height Themes is the choice between a header image and text. Each Theme includes .psd format images that you can edit so that your site header will look similar to those in the Theme demos. As an alternative, you can enter a site title and tag line to display as text in your site header. No messing with images if you don’t want to!
As with all ANA Themes, your Site Options Sidebar page enables you to upload several different photos to display on selected pages of your site. When using these fixed-height Themes it’s important to make sure the photos you use for your sidebar are the proper dimensions (each Theme demo lists the dimensions required for that particular design). Improperly sized photos will either be cut off or throw the site design out of whack. Most image editing software enables you to re-size and/or crop photos to get them to the right dimensions. Make sure you take care of image sizing before uploading them to your site.
