For the past month I’ve been working on setting up a new server for sites hosted through ANA Designs. It’s been a bit of a tough road but I’m thrilled with the result.

The first two companies I tried didn’t live up to my standards of customer service. One showed no concern when something they did left all cPanel accounts inaccessible for 18 hours. Seriously. At that point, I had only loaded personal sites to the server for testing, so it was not an inconvenience to my clients. But still. That’s not the type of company I wish to do business with.

Fortunately I found a company that takes customer service as seriously as I do. That’s exactly the type of company I wish to do business with.

Our new private Linux server is located in Chicago, Il. The hardware is in a temperature-controlled, secure data center that is monitored 24/7.

There are tons of security measures in place for the new server. For the sake of discretion I can not publicly disclose specifics. Any current ANA Designs client can request details by contacting me.

While the security systems in place serve everyone’s best interest, security this tight can cause some snags. If you run into any problems installing software, please contact me and I will assist in resolving the matter for you ASAP.

There are several categories including multiple software choices for photo gallery, mailing list, calendar, CMS, blog, e-commerce, customer support, and more.
• RV Site Builder – This popular site bulder makes it easy to create your own website in minutes. Make gallery pages, FAQ pages, a contact form, and more. On-screen tutorials when you need help and preview everything before you publish or update your site.
• Virus Scanner – Think your site has a bug? Quickly scan any part of your account including your entire home directory and your mail.

What all this means to current clients:
All clients who registered their domains through ANA Designs don’t have to do a thing in order to smoothly transition to the new server. I am personally changing DNS records, transferring sites, and ensuring that everything is functioning as it should. During the propagation period, your account will remain in place on both servers to eliminate the possibility of downtime.

For clients who have their domain registered elsewhere, you will receive an email containing instructions for changing nameservers to point to our new server. Your account will also be transferred personally. However, you will be responsible for checking over your site to make sure all is as it should be. This is a necessary inconvenience to ensure your privacy.
